Phi D Birth

On March 20th, 1973 the Supreme Council of The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., approved the Phi Delta Chapter charter on the Virginia Commonwealth University Campus. Third District Representative Melvin Washington authorized the submission of the petition after the initiation of Spring 1973 “The Arrogant 8” initiated on February 16th 1973. Dean, George Oliver, Kermit Payne, Wilbur Williamson, Artie OJ Williamson, King David Webb, Kenneth Warren, Robert Tabb, and Eugene Boyd. Phi Delta ever the trendsetters was the first chapter in the fraternity’s third district to be chartered at a predominantly white institution thus opening a door for the fraternity’s expansion throughout the commonwealth of Virginia and Washington DC. Dirty Phi D Arrogant since 1973 all homage due to James Hall as the first VCU Student to cross the Omega Sandz via the Upsilon Nu Chapter of The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. In Fall of 1973.
